PeopleNest documentation
The HR system, explained screen by screen
This is the book for the person who has to make PeopleNest work at a real company. Not a feature list. Every screen, every field, every value it accepts, and the order you fill them in.
Pick your way in
New to PeopleNest
Start here
What the system is, who does what in it, and how any screen in it behaves. Four short pages. Read them once and the rest of the site reads easily.
Implementing at a client
The order of setup
The sequence that works, stage by stage: the company, the calendar, leave, people, salary, contributions, the first payroll run. Do it out of order and screens come up empty.
A client has asked for something
How do I…
Real situations in the words clients use them in. Two shifts and nobody is tied to one. An allowance that should stop when a man goes on leave. A man who leaves mid month.
Looking up one screen
Every screen
One page per screen, grouped by module. What it is for, every field in plain words, how to configure it, what it is connected to, and what to check when it looks wrong.
What a screen page gives you
Every screen page is built the same way, so you always know where to look.
| What it is for | Why the screen exists and what goes wrong without it |
| Every field, in plain words | A row per field, with a real value to type and every code it accepts |
| How to configure it | A numbered walk from an empty screen to a saved, working record |
| Scenarios | The same screen configured two ways for two different clients |
| What it is connected to | What must exist first, what reads it afterwards |
| If something looks wrong | The symptom the client reports, and the cause to check first |
A word on the two products
PeopleNest is the HR product. Businessflo is the finance and supply chain product beside it. They share the same shell, the same login and several of the same setup screens, which is why the Organization & Setup pages talk about a company rather than about HR. Everything in this book is written for the HR side of the house.
