Screen Rate
Screen Rate is a code and name list of exactly the same shape as Screen Stage and Screen Status. It differs from the other three in one plain way: nothing in PeopleNest reads it. No screen offers it in a list and no scoring uses it.
What it is for
It holds a list of rates you could apply to screening, and in the current release that is all it does. Entries save correctly and are translated correctly, but no other recruitment screen offers them for picking and nothing reads them.
This matters when a client asks why there are four of these screens. Screen Stage and Screen Status are both live, because Applicant Status Stage pairs them and the Screening screen reads that pairing. Screen Rate sits beside them, looks identical, and is not wired to anything.
If the client wants candidates scored during screening, do not reach for this screen. Score them on Interview Evaluation, which weights competencies and works out a percentage, or put a number in the Score column on the Applications Pipeline line.
Leave it empty unless the client asks for it to be filled. Filling it is harmless and changes nothing.
Every field, in plain words
| Field | What it means | What to put in it | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Screen Rate | The short code for the rate | GOOD | Required. Must be unique. |
| Name | The rate in words | Good |
How to configure it
- Skip this screen. Nothing else needs it.
- If the client insists on seeing a list in it, add a code and a name for each rate and save. Be clear with him that it will not appear on the Screening screen or anywhere else.
Scenarios
"We want to rate candidates good, average or poor at screening"
This screen will store those three words and will not show them to anybody. Use the Score column on the Applications Pipeline line for a quick number per candidate, or Interview Evaluation for a proper weighted scorecard. If the client wants words rather than a number, add them as statuses on Screen Status and pair them on Applicant Status Stage, which does reach the Screening screen.
What it is connected to
- Nothing. It is the one screen in this module with no consumer.
If something looks wrong
- "I filled in Screen Rate and it is not in any list" - that is correct behaviour, not a configuration error. No screen reads this list.
